 | | Miscellaneous Landscape Collection - Ongoing
This collection features one-offs and small groups of images insufficient to form individual collections. Included are short holidays in Scotland together with local images including Weardale. A collection of some of my favourite images. All pictures were taken on 35mm cameras mostly on Fuji Velvia. However in the future all new images will be digital taken with either Nikon Coolpix 5000 or D70 cameras.

 | | The Rough Bounds of Knoydart May 1990
May 1990 was one of the hottest in recent history. A friend dropped me off at Edinburgh on his way to the Highland Main Line , as I wanted to travel by train all the way to Mallaig for my first camping expedition to the Knoydart peninsula. Known as the "Rough Bounds of Knoydart", the area had fired my immagination after reading the Scottish Mountaineering Club Guides. It must be noted I only encountered one other soul the whole week. Absolute bliss. Canon T90 cameras with Fuji colourslide and colourprint filmstock used, but the hazy atmospherics produced some "edgy" shots.

 | | The Rough Bounds of Knoydart May 1991
One year later, and what a difference. Groups of twenty or more were tramping the hills and passes. I had been lucky, and cherished my earlier trip, but the country was still the same and I had bunked off work on the promise of a good forecast for late May and headed for Glenfinnan, my way in this time. A shorter trip than the previous one, using a different point of access and out by a double trip on the MV Western Isles. Canon T90 cameras were used with Fuji velvia and my new 20-35L zoom lens - an absolute beauty!

 | | A short trip to Torridon May 1991
There were two things I wanted to do on this early May trip to the Flowerdale Forest and Torridon. I had long wished to camp beside Loch na Cabhaig in the Flowerdale Forest and to visit Coire Mhic Fearchair on the North side of Beinn Eighe. Not a long trip, and with variable weather, but I did get to join the Scottish Youth Hostel Association. I must apologise for more than a few pictures of myself. Poser. T90 cameras used with Fuji Velvia.

Pictures from along and near the Roman Wall.

 | | Howgill Fells - December 1989
Tony, John and I had a trip to see Cautley Spout and the Calf in the Howgills as a respite from the Christmas festivities. Fog and cloud was the order of the day till we passed Kirkby Stephen - the Howgills were an island of sunshine amid a cloud sea. Three mates on a grand day out with breathtaking light and crisp atmospherics - all to ourselves. The colour print film gives rather poor quality, though.
